Food production and biodiversity are often treated as separate goals.
Ghemu Farm is a developing small-scale farm project in West London focused on growing fruit, vegetables, herbs and tea plants while creating habitats for pollinators and wildlife.
We are already growing crops, trialling tea cultivation, developing preserves and fermented products, and exploring practical ways to connect food production with biodiversity and environmental stewardship.
Our long-term vision is to create a productive British farm that combines sustainable food production, habitat creation, traditional food skills and public education.
We believe farmland can support both people and nature, and that healthy ecosystems help create resilient farms and stronger communities.
