I’ve been working and living in and across Africa for much of the last 20 years. I am a director and the chief-of-staff of a multi-national African firm that is focused on investing patient, catalytic capital into African projects and businesses that support human flourishing and the foundations of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs: agribusiness, infrastructure, healthcare, energy, education, transport & logistics and real estate. I also lead our consulting on the green, blue, circular and sustainable economics. The philosophy of our firm is “sawubona”, an isiZulu greeting that means “I see you”. Not just visually, but I see all of you: your person, your struggles, your successes and your innate value to this world. And it underlies everything that we do.
