MEER – Mirrors for Earth's Energy Rebalancing – is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit scientific research and education organization. While headquartered in the U.S., our core research and implementation activities take place globally, with major initiatives in Africa, India, and other climate-vulnerable regions. MEER bridges climate adaptation and mitigation through a strategy we call adaptive mitigation: developing passive cooling solutions for buildings, urban environments, water bodies, and agriculture that not only reduce local temperatures but also contribute to the global effort to limit planetary heating. We aim to bring both immediate relief and long-term resilience to communities most at risk from climate breakdown.
