The result is skincare so pure it’s edible. The company began with just $45 and a discovery. After looking for something to soothe dry lips, Violet found Ghanaian shea butter and recognized the potential of the country’s natural ingredients . That insight grew into a brand now sold in over 30 countries, including Switzerland, Japan, Qatar, Turkey, Germany, and France. Skin Gourmet is distinguished as much by its impact model as its products. Ingredients are sustainably sourced from the wilds of Ghana, with products developed to empower local communities and promote environmental sustainability. The company creates meaningful job opportunities, especially in rural areas where work is scarce, providing dignified, stable work that reduces the pressure for young people to migrate to cities . Skin Gourmet was named Skincare Brand of the Year 2025, and its locally sourced palm kernel butter won Best Eco-Friendly Product at the 2024 Ghana Beauty Awards .
