Dr. Wahid Awad, Ph.D., EMBA Founder & CEO, Rosetta Omics Dr. Wahid Awad is the Founder and CEO of Rosetta Omics, an innovative deeptech healthcare startup incubated at Agoranov. Rosetta Omics is on a mission to unlock the road to precision medicine by integrating spatial multiomics and AI, starting with oncology. With an extensive international background, Dr. Awad has lived in Egypt, the Netherlands, the United States, and France, and has studied in 13 countries across five continents. This diverse experience has given him a multidimensional, multidisciplinary, and multicultural perspective on the challenges within life sciences, biopharma, and healthcare. His ability to navigate complex scientific and business landscapes is driven by an innovative problem-solving mindset. Dr. Awad holds a bachelor’s degree from Egypt, a master’s degree from the Netherlands, a Ph.D. from the United States, and a postdoctoral fellowship from France. He later pursued an Executive MBA at ESCP Business School, completing the program across nine countries. Before founding Rosetta Omics, Dr. Awad established Awad & Co., a life sciences-focused management consulting firm. He then served as Chief Business Officer and Board Member at CILcare, a French-American biotech and CRO with operations in Paris, Boston, Montpellier, and Copenhagen. During his tenure at CILcare, he spearheaded an in-residence entrepreneurship project, DiagOtology, which focused on auditory biomarkers and was designed to be spun out as an independent company. Beyond his leadership in biotech, Dr. Awad plays an active role in the health innovation ecosystem. He is an elected board member of: Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster Connect Medicen Paris Region ESCP Business School Alumni Association American University Club in France Passionate about education and mentorship, he serves as a visiting professor at multiple business schools and universities in France. Prior to focusing on Rosetta Omics, he held a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at Cairo University.
