Building GridSense has taught me one thing: In many African cities, electricity problems are not only blackouts. The real issue is invisible instability: micro-cuts, voltage drops, overload patterns, hidden failures. Most homes and SMEs have no visibility into what is actually happening on their electrical line. That’s why we are building GridSense: frugal monitoring hardware + local intelligence designed for African grid realities. Our current V1 focuses on: real-time electrical monitoring Telegram-based alerts lightweight remote visibility low-cost deployment without heavy infrastructure The goal is simple: make grid instability measurable before it becomes expensive. Right now, we are preparing for field deployments and collecting real operational data from real environments. This stage matters more than pitch decks. Because infrastructure products are not validated in theory. They are validated in the field. Africa doesn’t only need more electricity. It also needs better visibility, resilience, and reliability. Frugal hardware. Local intelligence. Built for real conditions. #GridSense #ClimateTech #Energy #Africa #DeepTech #Infrastructure #Resilience #HardwareStartup
