British band #Coldplay cut touring emissions by 59% on their latest world tour after pledging in 2019 not to return to the road without a sustainable plan.
Concerts run on renewable powered battery systems, with solar installations, power bikes and kinetic dance floors helping generate energy. The band also funds tree planting, reduces air travel, bans plastic bottles and donates a share of profits to environmental initiatives.
What started with skepticism has become a blueprint. Coldplay is demonstrating that stadium-scale entertainment and genuine environmental responsibility can coexist.
