Our association combats climate disinformation through media literacy workshops for young people and adults across France.
Disinformation is becoming a growing global threat, fueled by post-truth narratives, alternative facts, and the blurred lines between communication, opinion, and information on social media. This phenomenon weakens trust in the media, science, and public institutions, while contributing to hate speech, polarization, discrimination, violence, and social fragmentation. Climate-related fake news has also become a major concern in Europe, harming environmental transitions and public health, especially for vulnerable populations. Since access to reliable information is essential for democracy, collective decision-making, and the protection of citizens’ rights, strengthening public resilience against disinformation has become increasingly important.
