The train is not a punishment ❌
But an upgrade for those who refuse disposable travel.
Can we still travel? ✈️
The real question is:
Who still has the right to pretend nothing is changing?
This April, at the Grand Palais, I was at ChangeNOW to answer that question alongside Louanne Carmona and Guillaume Jouffre, in front of an audience that doesn't settle for slogans, so we went further than a simple yes/no.
In my view, the train is above all a way to take your time, to turn one trip into several, but we have to accept that some of the barriers to its adoption are individual... and others are political (infrastructure, supply, tools).
👉 In short: travel yes, but with a little more clarity and a lot less throwaway thinking.
If our answer to the climate emergency is "travel less and keep quiet," we lose.
⏸️ People won't put their lives on hold indefinitely. The right answer is to travel better. And the train is currently the mode that best combines pleasure, realism, and a low-carbon trajectory, when given the means to do so.
That's the ground we're building on at HOURRAIL!, through our media and our app, every day.
And we're soon reopening access to the HOURRAIL! Club; to move from inspiration to actual travel, with the community and exclusive discounts...
