After 30 years of research, I finally found the language for something I have always known.
It comes from quantum mechanics.
The many-worlds interpretation tells us that reality branches at every quantum event. Every possible outcome continues in a separate parallel reality. The aggregate behavior of a civilization — billions of individual choices, each a quantum event — generates a specific resonance pattern that determines what neighborhood of parallel realities that civilization inhabits.
In other words: civilizations generate signals. Those signals attract specific kinds of futures.
I call this the Signal model. And it has five components:
→ The civilization’s collective behavior
→ Its dominant technologies
→ What it teaches its children
→ The aggregate quality of its consciousness
→ The alignment between stated and enacted values
When I assess the current civilization across these five dimensions, what I see is a civilization at a genuine bifurcation point. Being pulled toward an extractive attractor by the momentum of existing systems. Being pulled toward what I call the Circular Pattern by a growing nucleus of genuine development.
The outcome is not determined. It is being determined now. By the choices of people who understand what the choices mean.
