Why is Bimo bipedal instead of walking on four legs? Wouldn't a quadruped be more stable? Easier to control? Absolutely! Four-legged robots are easier to balance, need less complex control systems, and are usually more forgiving when things go wrong. But Bimo isn’t about what’s easier to build. How a robot looks shapes what people expect from it. If a robot looks like a dog, people expect it to act like a dog, and that's often not possible, leading to frustration. That’s why Bimo’s design is so different. It encourages people to see it as something unique, instead of a copy of what already exists. And honestly, I love the challenge. Making a bipedal robot walk reliably is a tough problem, but those are the ones worth solving. What design choices have you made that seemed impractical but felt right? #Robotics #TheBimoProject #Startup #AI
