Today I noticed someone is doing the same as me. at first it stung a little, the old world idea of possession of ideas, interesting from ex-legal mind, however the new world me cried and cried because she realised that her mission is working.
To inspire industry change, its working, something so specific, that has life changing effects is being adopted by others.
Isn't that success? That's what I came here for, to inspire others. It's working, someone bigger than me is including one of my key features in their work. Beautiful. What I have been dreaming of is actually happening. My work is creating ripple effects.
Then why does the initial realisation hurt a bit and bring up a bubble of ownership? Why do we want recognition? Payment? Possession, scarcity, fear, self abandonment. a thank you? A i see you, a polite hat tip and special treatment? Isn't this post doing just that, telling the world hey world, my work is working!! come spread the word! Come help the ripples grow! Help lets cause a tsunami of supporting people through sharing the ideas that came to me so i could share them to others, just like the ideas intended.
Isnt the gift that the realisation of the success we have, the success that our ideas are being adopted.
Funny i was walking in the forest, I heard a woodpecker, i was looking at a tree determined to see it exactly on the tree where I wanted it to be. I had this little voice in my head say why do you want me to be where you want to see me? I'm behind. I looked higher up the tree I looked at the pinecones, thinking am i moving or is that blob the woodpecker moving? The knock knock knock. What lesson do you have for me pinecone woodpecker? It flew from the tree behind to where i wanted it to be.
