Smart Refill is founded by Fahad, who brings a strong technology and systems background, with an MSc in Computer Science and 14 years' experience building scalable enterprise platforms at global organizations including GE and Mobily. His expertise lies in designing reliable, data-driven systems that operate at scale. The company is co-founded by an IIT Kharagpur graduate Ashwaque with over seven years of experience in embedded systems and industrial automation at Siemens, bringing deep capability in hardware, controls, and operational reliability. While studying waste and recycling ecosystems, we identified a clear system gap: everyday homecare essentials still rely almost entirely on single-use plastic, despite growing sustainability intent from consumers and brands. Smart Refill was founded to solve this gap by building automated, brand-safe refill infrastructure that leading FMCG companies can confidently partner with enabling reuse at scale without compromising product quality, consumer trust, or brand equity.
