We spend so much time discussing how to manage waste, but why do we rarely stop and think about where it all begins? Forecast-driven production means things are made before anyone actually needs them, and in quantities no one can accurately predict. It’s a guessing game where the planet loses. At WAZP, we’re replacing that broken model with a system where products are made on-demand. Beyond just making things "better," we ensure they are truly circular - meaning they can be recycled and reborn into new products so nothing ever reaches a landfill. We’re starting with footwear and homeware. We recently showcased this solution in Paris, and now we’d love your support to take it further. Why do we always talk about waste, but ignore its root cause - overproduction? With more than 20 billion pairs of shoes produced annually and less than 5% successfully recycled, the current model is broken. At WAZP, we are building a system where nothing is made before it’s needed and nothing is thrown out. WAZP Metis is a 3D-printed footwear system that changes how shoes are made. By using 3D printing to its full potential, we can create footwear that is both beautiful and truly circular. Because the system allows us to manufacture without a single drop of glue, every pair can be repaired, recycled and eventually turned back into a new one. All local, all on-demand, with zero waste. This approach allows us to cut the CO2e, material waste and transportation distance of each pair by >90% and energy use by up to 60% compared to traditional manufacturing. It’s a system that has the potential to change how we make things - locally, sustainably and consciously. We’d love your support to help make this the new standard! www.wazp.io/metis-footwear
