DAAV is a Swiss deep tech startup providing smart micro-mobility as a service for persons with reduced mobility in large-indoor spaces.
We are bringing to live the world's first autonomous omnidirectional wheelchair to give an extra degree of freedom and full autonomy to those who need it the most.
Our initial deployments include airports, hospitals, malls and other large spaces. We allow people with reduced mobility to regain their freedom of movement without depending on third parties.
Over the past few weeks at the Vienna Airport, our autonomous wheelchairs have taken up to 20 passengers with reduced mobility to their boarding gates per day. With two wheelchairs in full operation, couples can now also travel together and enjoy the freedom to roam the airport and visit shops or restaurants on the way to their flight!
Our DAAV Air wheelchairs have also had time to dance at the rhythm of a Viennese Waltz at the end of a long day :)
A year ago we presented in collaboration with the Zurich Airport the world's first AI-powered autonomous robotic wheelchair that can move omnidirectionally.
We have been working hard since then to bring to market the most advanced micro-mobility-as-a-service solutions for people with reduced mobility. Stay tuned for the coming updates on all that has happened over the last 12 months since we first unveiled this made-in-Switzerland innovation!
