I turned 40 last month.
Yesterday evening I finished reading The Little Prince. This time it hit very differently.
At the age of 10 or 14, I could only see the surface: planets, a fox, a rose, drawings of sheep.
These days however, it’s an eye-opener.
- Counting stars but don’t enjoy them
- Ruling but not serving
- Working endlessly but not living
- Owning things instead of caring for them
Authority, validation addiction, shame loop, productivity obsession, duty without meaning…
Today, the Desert, the Fox, the Rose have such different meaning.
What a fantastic book for self reflection and for looking ahead to the next year! 🙏
