Nigeria's waste problem is astronomical and growing. But we thought, what if we took some of that waste and put it back into homes in the form of stylish, functional and eco-friendly products? At EcoCube, we collect discarded paper and packaging waste, and transform them into eco coasters, seedling planters and briquettes for a sustainable lifestyle. We're building up to make larger design pieces with premium-quality finishing. Ultimately, we want to empower people to adopt or dispose of waste responsibly and beneficially.
Serendipity.
Last year, we tried to hire fresh talent to volunteer or intern with EcoCube. It was tough to find employable candidates, although the passion was high - and passion alone is never enough.
To fill this gap, we created an environmental career bootcamp. It's focused on guiding entry-level career makers to take small community-centered actions, gain experience and demonstrate skills by building an Environmental Practice Portfolio.
It worked for us, and it can work for you too! Activate new hires, volunteers and interns to give them a headstart while helping you simplify your decision-making.

Losing something important often creates a void that must be filled with some of equal or even greater value.
As the founder of EcoCube, that void was finding usefulness in an endeavor where I cannot become redundant. Our planet is always needing our love and care.
My biggest hope is to find and connect with others who see themselves as a continuous part of the solution for managing the byproducts of daily existence and changing the way we all see and interact with waste.

We collect paper and packaging waste, transform them and give them a second lease of life in homes as eco-friendly and stylish home and garden goods - think coasters, briquettes, seedling cups.
We've found a way to get everyone involved in purposeful and responsible waste management by adopting waste, reusing it, and ultimately discarding correctly and sustainably.
We welcome you to get involved too.
