How lines on a map can become giant invisible walls erasing identity. For people who are displaced, in transit, or rebuilding after conflict — a border doesn't just stop their body. It stops their proof. Credits vanish. Records disappear. Years of learning become impossible to verify. Futures get paused not by failure, not by choice, but by a line on a map. This is what geography does to education. was not built in a boardroom. It was built by listening — listening to the voices of people who had lost more than a home. Their identity. Those stories became a mission. That mission has been recognised around the world by the Red Cross, World Water Week, Design for Emergency of London, World Bank Youth Summit, Springwise innovation for humanity and as a Fast Company World Changing Ideas Award and winner of the Inclusion & Education category at the Pitch Awards 2026. But recognition alone doesn't build solutions. Communities do. Right now, €20,000 is on the table — a grant to take to a working tool. One that ensures education continues beyond borders, conflict, and displacement. Education for emergency and mobility. The grant is decided by public vote. Voting closes tomorrow, 30 June. 🌍 We are excited to be taking part in the x Challenge and we would love your support. GeoIdentity was named the winner of the “Education and Inclusion” category at the ChangeNOW 2026 Pitch Awards. The project with the most votes will receive funding to support its next phase. For GeoIdentity, this would mean developing our first prototype and bringing us one step closer to making education truly borderless. is building a secure digital academic passport that helps learners preserve and access their educational records across borders. Our mission is to make education accessible, portable, and resilient, ensuring that learning can continue beyond political barriers, displacement, and administrative obstacles.
