Building the Future by Learning from Nature
The construction industry is responsible for nearly 40% of global carbon emissions, while millions of tonnes of agricultural biomass are burned or discarded every year.
At GoHemp, we believe these two challenges can help solve each other.
Founded by architects, GoHemp develops low-carbon building materials from industrial hemp and other natural resources, creating solutions that are healthier for people, better for the environment, and economically beneficial for farmers.
From hempcrete blocks and natural plasters to prefabricated building systems and acoustic panels, our work combines material innovation, architecture, and rural livelihoods to create buildings that store carbon instead of emitting it.
Over the past few years, we've been fortunate to receive recognition through initiatives such as India's Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC), BIRAC, GRIHA, and support from leading institutions including IIT Roorkee and IIM Bangalore.
We joined INSPIRED because we believe meaningful innovation happens through collaboration. We look forward to connecting with researchers, architects, policymakers, manufacturers, and organizations working towards a more regenerative built environment.
Together, let's build spaces that are better for people, the planet, and future generations.
