Hi everyone, this is Janu from Indonesia!
I started Sayur Sleman @sayursleman.insp.social to help my parents who sell vegetables at a traditional market by marketing it online since 2020. At that time, I was also a school principal, but my strong desire to help parents, traders, and farmers from my village led me to become an agri-social entrepreneur.
Sayur Sleman comes from the word 'Sayur', meaning vegetables, and 'Sleman', the name of our regency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. What makes Sayur Sleman unique is that we previously had an online vegetable service and a 'Sayur Sleman Sharing' program, which provided free vegetable donations to over 300 underprivileged residents in Sleman, Yogyakarta.
Through Sayur Sleman, we believe that doing business can also have a social impact. That's why I am here to share my stories.
