Today, commercial buildings consume nearly 47% of electricity and contribute about 26% of energy-related emissions, yet most of this data is fragmented and manually analysed . Therefore, inefficiencies go unnoticed and buildings lose money every month. At the same time, new regulations now require buildings to track, report, and improve performance but most don’t have the tools to do this effectively. We’ve built and tested a platform using real building data, where we’ve been able to identify inefficiencies and quantify cost-saving opportunities. We’re now moving from a validated prototype into an automated, IoT-enabled platform to scale this across buildings starting with Grade A offices in Nairobi.
