🌿 Our Mangroves Are Disappearing 🌿
We are a small coastal community living near the PNG LNG plant site, and our mangrove forests are slowly disappearing.
These trees protect our shoreline, support fish and crabs, and sustain our way of life, but little by little, we are losing them.
During Environment Day, we collected and planted mangrove seedlings with our local people to restore what’s being lost.
It’s a small step, but an important one for our future, our food security, and our coastline.
Mangroves are life
We must protect them now before they’re gone.🌊
