Country-scale AI orchestration — notes from the REALM Krishi build (India)
Last week the Steve Agi / REALM team briefed the Victorian Government on REALM Krishi, India's live agri-trade + intelligence platform. From a systems perspective, a few patterns worth pulling out for this community:
1. The interesting AI work isn't the model layer — it's the orchestration layer.
The hard problem in Indian AgTech isn't "can we predict yield." It's wiring noisy multi-language inputs (FPOs, mandis, exporters, weather, settlement) into a single state machine that a regulator can trust and an exporter can transact against.
2. Clean seams beat clever models.
Krishi is built around explicit boundaries: model output → human checkpoint → system of record. Audit trails are first-class. That's what turns AI from a demo into infrastructure.
3. Foundation partner slots are open.
AI, data, mapping and logistics partners are being onboarded in-country now. If you're building in agri-AI, geospatial, FPO platforms, or India trade infrastructure, the briefing is here:
