AgTech and HealthTech overlap more than the funding stack admits - and Australia's commercialisation pathways quietly reflect it. We just shipped the REALM Australia AgTech Commercialisation Navigator (free public resource, link below). Inside it, the programs that surprised us most were the ones sitting squarely on the AgTech-HealthTech seam: - Nutraceuticals and functional foods (crop -> compound -> clinical claim) - Plant-based and precision-fermented proteins (food security AND chronic disease management) - Veterinary diagnostics and One Health surveillance (animal health pipelines that feed human pandemic preparedness) - Medicinal cannabis, hemp and botanical pharma (agricultural cultivation with TGA-grade end states) - Agri-microbiome and soil-to-gut research (genuinely cross-disciplinary, almost no clear funding home) - Sensor and wearable platforms repurposed from livestock to human use cases (and vice versa) A founder building in any of these spaces in Australia is usually funded as either AgTech or MedTech, but the science and the supply chain sit in both. The Navigator now indexes 20+ programs, $2B+ in funding and 9 states/territories across the commercialisation pathway - which makes the cross-domain plays much easier to spot. Link (no email wall, no signup): navigator.realmgroup.global The deeper REALM360 / KAOS lesson, which is why we built it: the same entity (a crop, a compound, a cohort, a clinic) is typically duplicated across three funder taxonomies and four regulators. Until that entity is canonically nameable, commercialisation is just navigation of mis-labels. If you're building at the AgTech-HealthTech overlap in Australia - nutraceuticals, plant pharma, One Health, agri-microbiome, veterinary-to-human diagnostics - have a look. Happy to DM and help you read the pathway. #HealthTech #AgTech #OneHealth #Australia #Commercialisation #REALM360 #KAOS
