Over the years, I’ve learned that some of the most meaningful work happens far away from boardrooms—in the mountains, villages, and communities where resilience lives in everyday stories.
Last August, I spent a week in the mountains of Nepal—my home—leading a residential capacity-building and market-linkages workshop for cheese and honey entrepreneurs. The program, led by FAO Nepal with Ennovent Nepal as the country partner of Yunus Environment Hub, reminded me once again that some of the most meaningful work happens far from boardrooms and deep within communities.
I didn’t go there just to train.
I went to listen, learn, and help spark what already exists in these remarkable entrepreneurs.
Throughout the week, we dove into business models, pricing, branding, customer insights, and sustainable value chains. But the real magic was in the conversations—the quiet determination, the shared challenges, the dreams people rarely articulate, and the subtle but powerful shifts in confidence and vision.
