Impact Entrepreneur I Venture CatalystPhilippines

Hi, I’m Gabish. I work as a venture catalyst, helping innovative businesses with sustainable solutions enter and thrive in low-income and complex markets across developing countries. My work is rooted in a simple belief: global innovations become truly powerful when adapted to local realities. I focus on bridging this gap—connecting impactful ideas with the people and communities who can benefit from them the most. Through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and building meaningful partnerships, I support communities in taking ownership of their development. My goal is to help shape ventures that create lasting social, economic, and environmental value. I am passionate about designing and supporting projects that deliver measurable impact—strengthening local ecosystems while enabling inclusive and resilient growth.

Unlocking Rural Potential: A Week Inside Nepal’s Cheese & Honey Entrepreneurship Journey Ever wondered what happens when passionate rural entrepreneurs, time-tested traditional wisdom, and modern venture-building tools come together under one roof? Over the years, I’ve learned that some of the most meaningful work happens far away from boardrooms—in the mountains, villages, and communities where resilience lives in everyday stories. Last August, I spent a week in the mountains of Nepal—my home—leading a residential capacity-building and market-linkages workshop for cheese and honey entrepreneurs. The program, led by FAO Nepal with Ennovent Nepal as the country partner of Yunus Environment Hub, reminded me once again that some of the most meaningful work happens far from boardrooms and deep within communities. I didn’t go there just to train. I went to listen, learn, and help spark what already exists in these remarkable entrepreneurs. Throughout the week, we dove into business models, pricing, branding, customer insights, and sustainable value chains. But the real magic was in the conversations—the quiet determination, the shared challenges, the dreams people rarely articulate, and the subtle but powerful shifts in confidence and vision. In the coming days, I’ll share short reels capturing this journey: the breakthroughs, the struggles, the laughter, and the inspiring spirit of these entrepreneurs. If you’re curious about how rural enterprises grow, what it takes to build market-ready ventures, or what a venture catalyst actually does on the ground… stay tuned. Because this story goes far beyond cheese and honey. It’s about unlocking the ingenuity already rooted in our communities—and building pathways to sustainable, dignified livelihoods.
Hello everyone, sharing a personal reflection on my journey working with social enterprises in the Himalayas. I tried to explore how Nepal’s rugged terrain mirrors the uphill path for change-makers in underdeveloped regions—and why supporting these enterprises isn’t just about capital, but about building trust, equity, and dignity. If you’ve ever wondered how impact investing really works on the ground—and what it takes to nurture innovation where the stakes are high—I hope you’ll take a moment to read and reflect with me.
