When I was little, I remember our school collecting used coffee capsules during the first years
they became popular.
In arts and crafts class, we would flatten them and turn them into earrings and small accessories. Then weβd sell them during recess to buy sweets or save up for little toys.
At the time it just felt fun.
But looking back, I think it was probably my first real contact with the idea that βwasteβ could still
become something valuable instead of simply being thrown away.
Funny how some ideas around circularity start in the smallest and most unexpected ways.
Did anyone else do similar recycling projects at school growing up? Or do your childrenβs schools still do things like this today?π
