Foxconn says its third-quarter performance should exceed market expectations as demand for artificial intelligence servers continues to strengthen. The Taiwanese manufacturer, a major supplier to Nvidia and Apple, reported record August revenue of T$921.8 billion, or about $29.15 billion, representing growth of almost 52% from a year earlier. Foxconn said AI demand and the seasonal peak for consumer electronics should support momentum, although it remains cautious about geopolitical and economic uncertainty.
India is also preparing another major expansion of AI infrastructure. A Tata Consultancy Services subsidiary and its partners plan to invest as much as 700 billion rupees, approximately $7.4 billion, in a one-gigawatt AI data-centre campus in Telangana. The project adds to a wave of power and computing investment as countries compete to host infrastructure for advanced AI models.
South Korea has meanwhile surpassed its previous full-year export record. Exports have reached $709.4 billion, driven by extraordinary demand for semiconductors used in AI systems. Chip exports between January and August climbed nearly 170% to $281 billion and now account for about 41% of the country's exports.
