Daily Market & Technology Information – Monday 7th September 2026 Good morning, and welcome to today's Daily Market & Technology Information. Corporate & Technology China's fast-growing artificial intelligence chip industry is putting fresh pressure on Nvidia's dominance. Enflame, one of the country's leading domestic AI processor developers, has priced its Shanghai IPO at 142.18 yuan per share and aims to raise about 6.1 billion yuan, or $908 million. The offering values the company at roughly $9.1 billion. Enflame's quarterly revenue has increased around fifteenfold as Chinese customers seek alternatives to foreign processors, although the company remains unprofitable. The wider semiconductor sector is also starting the week strongly in Asia. South Korea's Kospi jumped more than 3%, with Samsung Electronics gaining around 4.5% and SK Hynix rising more than 6%. Japan's Nikkei also advanced as investors continued to favour companies exposed to artificial intelligence hardware, memory and data-centre investment. Fresh industry figures underline the scale of the boom. Global semiconductor sales reached $146.8 billion in July, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association, rising 6.4% from June and an extraordinary 135.1% from a year earlier. Year-to-date chip sales have already exceeded the industry's previous full-year record.
