Daily Market & Technology Information – Saturday 12th September 2026 Good morning, and welcome to today's Daily Market & Technology Information. Corporate & Technology Tencent-backed Enflame Technology has delivered one of China's most dramatic stock-market debuts of the year. Shares in the artificial intelligence chip developer closed 179% above their offer price on Friday after raising about $912 million through its Shanghai STAR Market listing. The surge lifted Enflame's market value to roughly 171 billion yuan and highlights strong investor demand for Chinese alternatives to Nvidia. Enflame remains loss-making but expects revenue of up to 3 billion yuan during the first nine months of 2026 and plans to invest its IPO proceeds in next-generation AI processors and computing systems. Japan's Kioxia is, meanwhile considering a US listing through American Depositary Shares, potentially giving the memory-chip manufacturer greater exposure to global AI investors. Kioxia shares have risen more than 450% this year as demand for advanced memory used in data centres has strengthened globally. Artificial Intelligence & Infrastructure The United Arab Emirates is redesigning a major artificial intelligence data-centre project after Iranian attacks highlighted the vulnerability of Gulf technology infrastructure. Plans for the five-gigawatt campus are shifting towards a network of facilities across the UAE, with officials considering underground construction, blast-resistant materials and additional security measures. The project forms part of the Stargate UAE initiative involving major US technology companies.
